Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho

Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho ( to German football club Seinäjokis ) is a football club founded in 2007 from the western Finnish town of Seinäjoki. In 2013 he was promoted to the first-class First Division.

History

Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho was formed in 2007 from the merger of the first teams of TP -Seinäjoki - a club that already a year playing in the First Division in 1997 - with Jalkapalloseura Sepsi -78. As of 2008, the new team took over the starting position of TP -Seinäjoki in the third-class Kakkonen. 2011 SJK won confidently with 21 points ahead and without defeat the squadron of C Kakkonen. In the subsequent relegation to Ykkönen he won against Tampere Ilves and the Bollklubben -46, making promotion to the second division. Already the first second division season ended Seinäjoki in second place. A year later, winning the title followed in the Ykkönen. Thus the club qualified for the First Division in 2014.

Stadium

The team will play their home games in the summer on the Seinäjoen Keskuskenttä (central sports ground ), a 1950 scale and renovated in 1975 sports facility near the city center owned by the city of Seinäjoki. The stands offer 2800 spectators, 800 spaces are covered.
