Seirijai

Serrey ( Seirijai Lithuanian, Polish Sereje ) was located in what is now Lithuania rule, which from 1383 to 1398 to the Teutonic Order and 1691-1793 together with the rule Tauroggen belonged to Prussia. It was assigned as "compensation" for the Second Partition of Poland on Poland - Lithuania because of the isolated location as an enclave in the still to Poland belonging to that time Lithuania, but fell in the third division with New East Prussia already 1795 in Prussia, 1807 to the Polish Duchy of Warsaw in 1815 and finally to Russia. Serrey was located between the eastern border of the province of East Prussia and the central portion of Memel, about 20 kilometers south of the Lithuanian city of Alytus.
