Sekinari Nii

Sekinari Nii (Japanese二 井 关 成, Nii Sekinari; born March 20, 1943 in Mine, Yamaguchi Prefecture) is a Japanese politician and served from 1996 to 2012 governor of Yamaguchi.

Nii was after completing his studies at the Law Faculty of the University of Tokyo in 1966 in the Ministry for self-government. From 1982 he also taught at the Shobo - Daigakkō, the Academy of the national fire brigade authority. From 1983 he worked at the Nihon Shobo Kyōkai, the " Japanese firefighters society," from 1984 in the prefecture administration of Yamaguchi, most recently in 1994 as Director of Finance ( suitōchō ), one of the " three [ major ] offices " a prefectural government. 1996 ended Nii his civil service career and turned to politics.
