Selective Service System

The Selective Service System is an authority in the United States, when all male U.S. citizens are listed 18 to 25 in age. It provides information about the potential soldiers, which can be used in the context of military service for the defense case.

Legal basis

With the decision of the Selective Service Act, which was adopted on 18 May 1917 at the Congress, the basis for the Selective Service System has been created. Registration

All who is between 18 and 25 male U.S. citizens and foreigners who have permanent residence in the United States are obliged to register at least 30 days after her 18th birthday.
