Self-perception theory

The self-perception theory ( in engl. Original self- perception theory ) Daryl Bem (1967 ) is a psychological theory that can be understood as a strategy for self-knowledge. Own feelings and attitudes may therefore, if one is unsure about them, are developed by analyzing the past own behavior, if the behavior is freely chosen, that was intrinsically motivated.

Accordingly, the self-perception theory of Daryl Bem can be regarded as a related to itself attribution process.

The self-perception theory has since been confirmed by many studies.
