Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race

The Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race is the longest certified race in the world. The distance is 3100 miles ( 4989 km ). It takes place every year from June to August and is a road race. It is organized by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team. The run takes place in New York, Queens to one block at a distance of 883 m and the runners try to run the route within 51 days.

History

Since 1985 runs were organized by the SCM team that led over distances of 700, 1000, 1300 miles, and 6 - and 10 -day passes. In 1996, Sri Chinmoy 2,700 - mile run ( 4345 km ).
