Sélibaby

Selibaby, سيلبابي, is the capital of the administrative unit Guidimaka in the south of the West African state of Mauritania.

The city's population increased steadily. It was 1977 5451 and 1988 already at 11,530 people, and 2000, it rose to 15,289. In 2005, the city's population was estimated at 18,424. It was thus in 2005 on the list of largest cities of Mauritania on position 22 and was the third largest city in Guidimaka after Ghabou and Gouraye.
