Sengkang is a city ( kota ) in South Sulawesi, Indonesia, and is the capital of the administrative district ( kabupaten ) Wajo. The metropolitan area covers the entire district ( Kecamatan ) Tempe, which is divided into 16 subunits ( Kelurahan ).

The city had 2010 61.053 inhabitants ² in an area of ​​38.27 km and is the center of the traditional Buginese Seidenbeweberei. To the west lies the Danau Tempe.
