Septfontaines

Simmering ( Luxembourgish Simmer, French Septfontaines ) is a municipality in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, in the canton chapels.

Composition of the community

The municipality consists of the following localities:

• Greisch
• Leesbach

• Roodt
• Septfontaines

• Simmer Farm
• Simmerschmelz

Attractions

• The municipality is located in the valley of the Eisch, only Greisch located on the plateau above the valley.

• The Castle of Septfontaines is privately owned.

• At the entrance from the direction Leesbach lies the picturesque goat bridge ( Gessebréck ). It once led the riding path of the Lords of Ansembourg of simmering over Simmerschmelz further Ansembourg.
