Serbia women's national football team

The Serbian national football team of women representing Serbia in international women's football. The national team is subordinate to the Serbian Football Association and is trained by Suzana Stanojević. The Serbian selection has denied her international debut on 5 May 2007. Opponent was Slovenia. Serbia won 5-0 and this is still the largest margin of victory. The Serbian team is the successor team of Serbian - Montenegrin selection, has denied 20 matches between 2003 and 2006, and in turn follow the Yugoslav team selection was that played 61 games between 1985 and 2002. At present ( March 2012) has the team ranked 44th by FIFA World Ranking after the previously worst result was achieved in March 2011 with number 45. In qualifying for the European Championship 2013, the Serbs, the Netherlands met in England, the neighbors Croatia and Slovenia. With four wins, one draw ( in the first game against the eventual group winners England) and three defeats Place Three of the group was reached, and thus missed the playoffs the runners-up.

Games against teams of German-speaking countries

So far, there were no games of the Serbian selection against Germany. On May 26, 2012 there was the first game against Austria, which was lost with 0:5. In the first game of qualifying for the World Cup 2015 Serbia met on September 21, 2013 for the first time to Switzerland and had to accept the highest international match defeat at 0:9. To return match in Serbia it comes on 19 June 2014.

The Yugoslav selection played a European Championship qualifier in Sofia on 28 May 1992 against Germany, which they lost 0:3. The return leg in Germany was canceled due to the civil war in Yugoslavia and Yugoslavia excluded. Austria played against Yugoslavia in qualifying for Euro 1997. According to a 1:2 in Vienna on 17 September 1995 the return match was won on June 8, 1996 in Belgrade, 5-1. With Switzerland, the Yugoslav national women's team first appeared in their fourth game on August 2, 1978 in Pescara and was able to win 2-0. Two more games in qualifying for the European Championship 1997 ended with 0:5 ( 27 September 1995 in Belgrade ) and 1:1 (16 June 1996 Solothurn ). In qualifying for the 2005 European Championships, the selection of Serbia and Montenegro met also in Switzerland. The two games on 17 May 2003 in Breitenbach and 29 September 2004 in Kruševac both ended 1-0 for the hosts.
