Serengeti (cat)

The Serengeti is a cat breed that was bred from the Bengal Cat and the Oriental Shorthair.

History

The Serengeti was created in 1994 by Karen Sausman kennel name King Mark, in California. The breed is still " in development ", but the breeding goal is a cat that is similar to the Serval, without introgress wild cats. While the Bengalis are descended from the wild Asian Leopard Cat Bengal or, but the Bengalis used in the breeding program for the Serengeti are so many generations removed from their wild ancestors that their genetic contribution is considered negligible. Appearance

The Serengeti are spotted cats with long legs and large ears. Hangovers are usually larger and heavier than cats. You can weigh up to 7 kg, cats between 3.5 kg and 5.5 kg.
