Sergei Udaltsov

Sergei Udaltsov Stanislavovich (Russian: Сергей Станиславович Удальцов, scientific transliteration Sergei Stanislavovič Udal'cov; born February 16, 1977 in Moscow ) is a Russian opposition politicians. It represents a radical left beliefs, is leader of the avant-garde movement of the Red Youth AKM, coordinator of the Left Front and other, interwoven movements of the left spectrum and the civil rights movement. Udaltsov is known that he was arrested for his protests countless times. In prison, he often turns to the means of protest hunger strike.

Biography

Udaltsov founded in 1998, the avant-garde movement of the Red Youth AKM as a youth movement of Trudovaya Rossiya, the Workers' Party Viktor Anfilows. 2002-2003 Udaltsov was a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the working of Russia, which was disbanded in July 2003.

1999 closed Udaltsov the legal examination of the Moscow State Academy of Water Transport and worked as a lawyer in the newspaper Glasnost '. In the same year he was a candidate for the Duma elections on a list, which did not overcome the 5 % barrier.
