Sergei Udaltsov
Sergei Udaltsov Stanislavovich (Russian: Сергей Станиславович Удальцов, scientific transliteration Sergei Stanislavovič Udal'cov; born February 16, 1977 in Moscow ) is a Russian opposition politicians. It represents a radical left beliefs, is leader of the avant-garde movement of the Red Youth AKM, coordinator of the Left Front and other, interwoven movements of the left spectrum and the civil rights movement. Udaltsov is known that he was arrested for his protests countless times. In prison, he often turns to the means of protest hunger strike.
Biography
Udaltsov founded in 1998, the avant-garde movement of the Red Youth AKM as a youth movement of Trudovaya Rossiya, the Workers' Party Viktor Anfilows. 2002-2003 Udaltsov was a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the working of Russia, which was disbanded in July 2003.
1999 closed Udaltsov the legal examination of the Moscow State Academy of Water Transport and worked as a lawyer in the newspaper Glasnost '. In the same year he was a candidate for the Duma elections on a list, which did not overcome the 5 % barrier.
In 2005 he ran for the Moscow city parliament on the list of CPRF .
From 2006-2007 cooperated movement of Sergei Udaltsov, AKM with the Other Russia coalition of Garry Kasparov and also took part in the marches of the opponent of Other Russia.
Udaltsov was 2008 ( consisting of 30 people) elected at the founding conference of the Left Front in the executive committee of this movement; he had hitherto organizational coordinator of the Left Front.
Since 2009 Udaltsov co- chairman of the party Russländische United Labour Front, abbreviated ROT Front ( РОТ Фронт ). The same designation is however also used for the same Moscow confectionery factory.
Since 2010, he appears as the organizer of regular protests, the so-called Day of Rage ( День Гнева ) on.
Udaltsov was one of the key figures in the organization and implementation of the protests that followed in his opinion, massively falsified parliamentary elections in December 2011. So he spent after the protests on December 5, 2011 15 days in jail.
In the 2012 presidential election Udaltsov supported the candidates of the CPRF Gennady Zyuganov.
Udaltsov announced on 22 April 2012 a mass demonstration for May 6, 2012, which (meaning Putin ) under the motto march of millions, and the slogans, " We will not let the impostor in the Kremlin " and " For a just, legitimate power should " be.
As Udaltsov took part in the August 17, 2012 in the protests against the judgment against the Punkerinnen of Pussy Riot, he was arrested in Moscow together with the ex- world chess champion Garry Kasparov and about 60 other demonstrators.
In October 2012 it was announced that the Russian judiciary has launched investigations against Udaltsov on suspicion of incitement to mass disorder. He was interrogated and his apartment and his parents searched. If convicted, he faces a prison sentence of up to ten years. End of the same month he was arrested during a solidarity action on behalf of persecuted Russian opposition in Moscow together with Alexei Navalny and Ilya Yashin "because of public indecency ". After a few hours they were released.
Udaltsov is the spokeswoman of the Left Front, Anastasija Udal'tsova married. The couple has two children.
