Sergei Kožans (2008)

Sergei Kožans (* February 16, 1986 in Riga) is a Latvian football player. The defender is currently without a club.

Career

Sergei Kožans began his career, first in the youth of Skonto Riga in his hometown of Riga. At the age of 19 or 20 years Kožans played his first professional season in the jersey of discount. In the first division and Latvian record champions of the country he came to a total of 51 missions where it could reach 5 goals.

In the 2009 summer break Kožans moved together with his teammate Ivan Lukjanovs to Poland for the first division Lechia Gdańsk. At the club from Pomerania, he signed a contract for three years. In summer 2012, his expiring contract was not renewed.

In 2011 he was also nominated for the Latvian national football team but did not play.
