Sergey Morozov (athlete)

Sergei Sergeyevich Morozov (Russian: Сергей Сергеевич Морозов, English transcription Sergey Morozov; . Born March 21, 1988 in Saransk ) is a Russian -goers.

The former youth and junior world champion caused a stir, as in a 20 km Walk he won in 1:16:43 h on 8 June 2008, the Russian Championship, while the world record by 33 seconds undercutting. His time was not ratified as a world record because it had been neglected at this competitive conduct doping controls. Shortly thereafter, he returned with a unannounced doping test from a sample that tested positive for erythropoietin (EPO ), which subsequently proved to be a reason why Morozov did not compete at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Due to a breach of the Doping Regulations, a two -year ban was imposed against him. In 2012, he fell on because abnormal blood counts and was subsequently banned for life.
