Sergey Shavlo

Sergei Dmitrievich Schawlo (Russian: Сергей Дмитриевич Шавло; born September 4 1956 in Nikopol, Ukrainian SSR ) is a retired Soviet football player, football coach and football manager.

Schawlo began his active career as a football player in 1974 in the former Latvian SSR, first with electron Riga, then at FK Daugava Riga. In 1977 he moved to Spartak Moscow and has been with this team in 1979 Soviet masters. In 1986 he moved to Torpedo Moscow and has been with this team in the same year Soviet Cup winner.

For the Soviet national Schawlo graduated between 1979 and 1985 19 games, he also came to five appearances in the Soviet Olympic team and won with this team in 1980 the bronze medal at the Olympics in Moscow, during this tournament he scored a 8:0 victory of his team against the Cuban team a goal.

In 1987 Schawlo moved as one of the first Soviet football player abroad to Rapid Vienna, he has been with this team in 1988 Austrian champion. In the following years Schawlo played for several clubs in Austria and ended his active career in 1997 at FC Laxenburg.

In the following years Schawlo was originally the coaching staff for a number of Austrian and Russian clubs operate in 2005, he became general manager of Spartak Moscow and remained until 2008 in this function.
