Sergio Matabuena

Sergio Matabuena Delgado (born 12 February 1979 in Santander, Cantabria ) is a Spanish footballer who plays mainly in the midfield. Most recently he is under contract at Real Valladolid.

Career

Matabuena began playing football at Racing Santander. In 2007 he moved to Sporting Gijon, at that time still in the Segunda Division, the second Spanish top flight, playing. Finally, for the 2008/09 season reached the summit in the Primera División. In Sporting Gijon he is called because of its well-ripened skills as a defensive midfielder " Matabuena Gatusso ".

In the 2010/2011 season he has lost his place and moved in January 2011 free transfer to the Spanish second division side Real Valladolid. He signed a contract until there end of June 2012, which was not extended in the sequence.
