Seri Bahlol

Sehri - Bahlol, also called Sahr -i - Bahlol, is a small fortified city of ruins, which is close to the prehistoric monastery Takht -i - Bahi in the Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The location is situated 70 kilometers from Peshawar away.

Sehri - Bahlol is a culturally and historically significant place of Buddhism in the early 1st century and since 1980, as well as the nearby village of Takht -i - Bahi, registered in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In the village there were statues of Buddha. Furthermore, coins and other artifacts have been found. The name goes back to Sir Bahlol, a prominent religious leader in this field.

From the town of a large Wall can be seen, which is surrounded by agricultural fields. Of the farmers often historical finds are made on the fields, beyond the archaeological research.
