Serial ATA International Organization

The Serial ATA International Organization ( SATA -IO short ) is an independent non-profit organization which grew out of the Serial ATA Working Group in July 2004. The predecessor organization, the Serial ATA Working Group, has thereby developed the first version of the Serial ATA specification. In 2005, the SATA -IO has then published the second revision of the SATA specification and is currently developing the third revision. In addition, it offers companies assistance in the implementation of specifications. Its headquarters is Beaverton (Oregon ).

The third revision is currently under development for Serial ATA can already be seen by the members. Other companies so far do not have any opportunity to see in the provisional specification.
