Montsec d' Ares

The mountain range Serra del Montsec is part of the southern Pre- Pyrenees in the Spanish Autonomous Communities of Catalonia and Aragon. The limestone mountains covered an area of 187 km ². Montsec de l' Estall

Montsec de l' Estall is the western section of the Serra del Montsec and is located in the comarca of Baixa Ribagorça in Aragon. Limited is this part of the mountain range to the east by the border river Noguera Ribagorzana, the Aragon separates from Catalonia. This range of hills with about 8 km in length is the smallest and the lowest peaks. The highest point is lo Graller ( 1,329 meters).

Montsec d' Ares

Montsec d' Ares is the border mountains between the northern and the southern Pallars Jussà comarca of Noguera in Catalonia. The middle section of the Serra del Montsec lies between the rivers Noguera Ribagorzana the west and the Noguera Pallaresa in the east. With a length of approximately 18 km it is the longest part of the mountain range. The highest point is Sant Ali's ( 1,676 meters). In the municipality d' Àger on the Pic de la Corona on 1,570 meters above sea level, the observatory Astronòmic del Montsec and the Parc Astronòmic Montsec is.

Montsec de Rubies

How Montsec d' Ares is also Montsec de Rubies the border mountains of Comarcas Pallars Jussà and Noguera. This eastern section of the Serra del Montsec is bounded on the west by the valley of the river Noguera Pallaresa. The Montsec de Rubies have a length of about 13 km. The highest elevation is the Tossal de les Torretes ( 1,677 meters).
