Scomberomorus brasiliensis

Scomberomorus brasiliensis is a marine fish of the family Scombridae, which is widespread in the southern Caribbean and the South American Atlantic coast. Some authors see Scomberomorus brasiliensis as a synonym of Scomberomorus maculatus. The fish is a sport fish, and is fished commercially.

Description

The spindle -shaped body is usually about 65 inches long, more than 125 inches SL. The first dorsal fin consists of 17 to (rarely ) 19 hard jets. Of these, the fourth of the Longest.
