Sesenebnef

Sesenebnef was " Chief lector priest " in ancient Egyptian 13th Dynasty (c. 1700-1650 BC). He is mainly known from his grave in el- Lisht. This grave was excavated in 1900 and contained the remains of two Holssärgen, a canopic chest and Kanopenkrügen. The coffins were in their discovery very expire and could not be salvaged. However, the inscriptions were copied, where you just copied the interior decoration of the outer coffin only the exterior decoration of the inner coffin. The inner coffin shows a device Fries, while the outer sides of the outer coffin were described closely with hieroglyphics. These hieroglyphs show mutilated animals, most notably the birds have been reproduced without legs. The inscriptions, especially those of the outer coffin are a thing of the longest texts of the Middle Kingdom. They are all the more remarkable because they already show many compositions, later known from the Book of the Dead.
