Set It Off is a song by Australian- Nigerian singer Timomatic. He was released on 18 November 2011 as the debut single and is the harbinger of the book published on 24 August 2012 album Timomatic. The song was a huge success in Australia. He reached here 2nd and was awarded triple platinum.

Background

Set It Off was written by Timomatic, Anthony Egizii and David Musumeci. Together with the songwriting and production company DNA songs he produced the song as well. The song appeared on the label Sony Music. Timomatic described the meaning of the song as follows: " In a global sense is the first thing I want people to know about me as an artist " Set It Off ( Having a Ball ) " The song contains all of my energy and musical style.. the video is to show how much I love to dance I really think that " Set It Off ", the first official sound of Timomatic 's -. ., it is the best single that represents my music hold a perfect representation of me. " He explained that the song is about having fun on the dance floor and the love of his life. Set It Off was first released as a digital single - track on November 18, 2011. An Extended Play, with two remixes of Set It Off, and an additional track that was released as a CD on 9 December 2011. In Germany, the CD single was released only on February 17, 2012.

Music Video

The official music video was uploaded to the official VEVO channel from Timomatic on November 18, 2012 on YouTube. It starts with Timo Matics arrival at a bar he goes to a DJ booth and moves the controller: The song starts. At the same time he begins a freestyle dance. During the first chorus, the scene changes and Timomatic is seen on stage in front of a black background. His clothes change from a colorful T -shirt, blue jeans, sneakers and Cappy to a black leather jacket, dark jeans and a pair of sunglasses. Another intercut shows as he breaks down some moves in a green room of the bar. Then you see Timomatic with two other dancers in a choreography. Finally, he is dancing on a staircase. After 10 months the video was clicked over 1,000,000 times.

Awards

Set It Off was developed by the Australian Recording Industry Association ( ARIA ) Award for selling over 210,000 copies with triple platinum. In New Zealand, the song by the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand ( RIANZ ) handed over a gold record for sales of 7,500 copies contained.
