Severus Ibn al-Muqaffaʿ

Sawirus ibn al - Muqaffa ' (Latin Severus, Greek Severo ) was a Coptic bishop of Aschmunain (50 km south of Minia in Upper Egypt) in the 10th century. He has 26 books written in Arabic and is considered the first Coptic- Arabic author. He is famous for his history of the Patriarch of Alexandria of the Copts ( " Alexandrian Patriarch history "), which was continued by many followers.
