Sewahenre Senebmiu

Sewah -en-Re Senebmiu was an ancient Egyptian King (Pharaoh) of the Second Intermediate Period ( from about 1780 to about 1550 BC). Its exact position is uncertain.

The name Sewah -en-Re appears in the Karnakliste, on a scarab and a wooden rod that was found as an adjunct in the grave of King acquaintances and Superintendent of the marsh dwellers Senebni, has been given by the ruler of this official and carries a royal dedication formula. On the fragment of a stele from Gebelein there is the birth name of the ruler Senebmiu. On the fragment of a small naos from Thebes to the house and throne name are united.

The classification of the ruler within the Second Intermediate Period is uncertain. Usually he is assigned to the 13th Dynasty. The Turin Royal Canon, the name of a ruler has partially ... nre and there have been attempts to identify this document with Sewahenre. This seems possible, but is not mandatory.
