Shadowside

Shadow Side is a Brazilian metal band from Santos.

Career

The band was formed in 2001 by singer Dani Nolden, drummer Fabio Buitvidas, guitarist Raphael Mattos and bassist Fernando Peto in Santos. The four musicians have roots in Germany, Lithuania, Portugal, Spain and Italy.

Their first EP is called Shadow Side. In the first year the band was already opened for bands like Nightwish, Primal Fear and Shaman.

Their debut album Theatre Of Shadows was released in 2005 and was sold in Brazil alone over 2,000 times. This album was considered one of the best albums in the Brazilian metal scene. The album is also sold in Europe and Japan.

A year later the band Helloween as support band during which Brazil tour. That same year, the band of Chief of Roadie Crew Magazine best band was nominated. The lead singer of the band and their music have also been proposed.

In July 2007 - after the band was present in the radio charts around the world - the band won the AirPlay Direct All Things Digital Hard Rock / Heavy Metal against 1,000 other bands from all over the world.

Between 2008 and 2009 the band went on tour for the first time in Brazil and North America. Their album, Dare to Dream, that 2009 by Dave Schiffman (including Audioslave, System of a Down and Six Feet Under ) and mixed by Howie Weinberg (including Iron Maiden, Metallica and Pantera ) was mastered, is also in the U.S. through CD Baby Amazon and marketed.
