The Danish film Shake it all about (En kort en long) is a comedy directed by Hella Joof from 2001 with Mads Mikkelsen in the lead role.

Action

Jacob is a young man who is used to always get what he wants. He has lived for several years in a happy relationship with Jørgen and his birthday party asks Jørgen him if he would like to marry him. Jacob accepted, but still during the party kisses Jacob Caroline, his future sister in law. What at first seems like a blip in alcohol intoxication, is becoming a serious matter. Even Caroline, whose husband Tom works as an airline pilot, and almost never is at home, is attracted to Jacob, and so the two begin an affair.

Jacob is torn between Jørgen and Caroline and can not decide who he wants to live together permanently. The affair on flies, as Caroline of Jacob is pregnant. In particular, Jacobs mother is happy about this fact, but they had already all hopes of grandchildren and a given "normal" relationship her son to a woman.

So the gay wedding is called off and planned the wedding of Jacob and Caroline. But Jacob is still not sure whether he will be happy with Caroline alone and tries to speak with Jørgen and reconcile. But this fails when Jacob in Jørgens apartment a half-naked young man encounters.

Only when Jacob and Caroline stand before the altar, the two realize that they are committing a big mistake and they would rather be with their previous partners. So Jacob storms so out of the church and does a horse on the way to the airport to Jørgen fly away to stop them. But when he arrives at the airport, Jørgen is already on the plane and he is no longer allowed to enter. In desperation, he speaks with the pilot on the phone and convinced this cancel the flight. Jacob and Jørgen reconcile and while they ride on the horse back to town, Tom leaves with a smile the cockpit of the plane and returns to Caroline.
