After signing a record deal with Columbia Records Abbott wrote thirty songs that he recorded three as a demo tape. Shake You Down is one of these. Originally, the follow-up single I Got The Feeling ( It's Over ) should be published first, but to be able to promote the album successful, they released Shake You Down. Among critics of the hit is considered the " Wall Street Soul".
