Shameka Christon

Shameka Christon DeLynn (* February 15, 1982 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, United States) is a professional basketball player. In 2012 she plays for the San Antonio Silver Stars in the Women's National Basketball Association.

Career

College

Shameka Christon played until 2004 for the women's basketball team at the University of Arkansas. In her last year of college, she was elected Player of the Year in the Southeastern Conference.

Women's National Basketball Association

Shameka Christon was selected by the New York Liberty in the WNBA Draft in overall fifth place in 2004. Christon was able to improve from season to season, so she got more and more playing time. Since the 2006 season, Christon is also an integral part of the starting lineup of Liberty.
