Shamil Abbyasov

Shamil Abbjassow (Russian Шамиль Аббясов, English transcription Shamil Abbyasov, . Born April 16, 1957) is a former Kyrgyz long and triple jumper who competed for the Soviet Union.

In the Indoor Athletics Championships 1981 in Grenoble he won the triple jump and won bronze in the long jump. In the same year he was at the Athletics World Cup third in the long jump.

In 1980 he became Soviet champion in the long jump.

Shamil Abbjassow with Tatjana Kolpakowa, the long jump Olympic champion in 1980, married. The couple has three children.
