Shape (magazine)

Shape (of English. "To keep in shape" = " keep fit ") is a general-interest magazine for women who appear in the U.S. and in over twenty countries has licensees. The thematic focus of the different speaking countries are spending on physical exercise (fitness ) and a healthy diet.

History

The first issue of Shape was published in 1981 in the U.S., the first German-language on 22 February 1998 with the slogan "To be in shape is a matter of style ." In Germany, the magazine of the Marquard Media AG is issued, editor in chief since 2005 Gerald Büchelmaier. The average total circulation of 159 564 copies Shape is what 95 768 on the Pocket Edition accounts (IVW 4/2012 ). It is published monthly.

Content and target group

The topics of the shape are fitness, diet, nutrition, fashion, beauty, travel and psychology. The target group are set with an above average education, who value a good feeling working women aged 20 to 49 years. Shape.de is the online service of the women's magazine Shape MVG Premium Group of Bauer Media. It is his sister portals JOY.de and COSMOPOLITAN.de operated as since February 2013 by the Bauer Digital KG in Munich. The thematic priorities of SHAPE.de are fitness, nutrition and lifestyle. An independent online editorial team produces daily new content for the website and social media channels of Shape.
