Sharif of Mecca
As Sherif practiced the Hashemites since the 10th century from the control of Mecca and Medina. The top Sherif from the clan of the Hashemites was in Mecca the title of Großscherifen. Here, different lines of Dynasty took turns in the performance of his duties. This often led to power struggles within the group of Hashemites.
