Shaun Pollock

Shaun Maclean Pollock (born 16 July 1973 in Port Elizabeth ) is a former South African cricketer and one of the best all-rounder in history. He is the bowler with the most Testwickets for South Africa. Shaun Pollock comes from a famous cricketer family. His father, Peter Pollock and his uncle Graeme Pollock also played Test cricket for South Africa.

Career

Shaun Pollock graduated during his career 108 Test matches in which he scored a total of 3781 runs and 421 wickets. Worldwide, only seven players have more reach than Testwickets Shaun Pollock. He is also one of only eight cricketers who brought at least 3000 test runs and 300 Testwickets. His test debut Pollock in November 1995 against the English test team. Its last use in a test had Pollock against the team of the West Indies in January 2008. Shaun Pollock also 303 One-Day International Matches completed for South Africa, where he scored a total of 3519 runs and 393 wickets. Only four other players have so far achieved more wickets in one- day internationals as Shaun Pollock. Shaun Pollock took part with the South African team to four Cricket World Cups (1996, 1999, 2003 and 2007).
