Shawn Sheikhan

Shahram " Shawn" Sheikhan (born 1969 in Iran ) is a professional poker player. He is also the owner of a chain of tobacco and tattoo shops.

Sheikhan is mainly known for his scurrilous behavior at the table. In the World Series of Poker in 2005, there was a dispute between him and Mike Matusow after Sheikhan telling the other players what kind of hand he held. Then Matusow called him and both players had to leave the table for a few minutes.

In March 2006, he came to the semifinals of the National Heads-Up Poker Championship, but was eliminated by the eventual winner, Ted Forrest. Sheikhan was awarded the sum of $ 125,000.

In the World Series of Poker 2007, he placed in the prestigious No Limit Deuce to Seven event at third place. He could also, after several attempts a title on Poker After Dark win.

Sheikhan took part in the first three seasons of High Stakes Poker. He is the only player who has appeared in a season only in one episode. Arrest and possible deportation
