Shawnee Smith

Shawnee Smith ( born July 3, 1970 in Orangeburg, South Carolina) is an American actress and singer.

Career

After minor roles in Leaving Las Vegas, Armageddon - The Last Judgement, Saw and The Island Shawnee Smith Saw II 2005 achieved a breakthrough. She also played the role of Amanda Young in Saw III, Saw IV, Saw V and Saw VI. She is best known in America primarily through television appearances, for example, in the series Becker. For their roles in the television drama Crime of Innocence ( 1985) as well as in SF- horror film The Blob ( 1988) she was nominated for the Young Artist Award. They also toured as lead singer with the band Fydolla Ho by the U.S. and the UK, she and actress Missi Pyle also form the country-rock band Smith & Pyle.

Private life

Shawnee Smith was born in Orange Bourg, South Carolina, as the second child of the nurse Patricia and financial advisor and U.S. Air Force pilots Jim Smith. As Shawnee was one year old the family moved to Van Nuys, California. When she was two her parents were divorced and her mother remarried as Shawnee was eight. Smith attended Ranchito Avenue Elementary School in Panorama City, California, and then the North Hollywood High School in North Hollywood, California to complete in 1987.

Her first marriage joined Smith with photographer Jason reposar 1998. This lasted until 2003 and it had produced a daughter, who was born 1999. The separation of reposar they processed later in the song " Sugar" with her band Smith & Pyle. From Shawnees second marriage with Kai Mattoon 2005-2006 comes from a son who was born in 2005.
