She and Her Cat

Kanojo to Kanojo no neko (Japanese彼女 と 彼女 の 猫, dt: . "She and Her Cat ", engl She and her Cat ), subtitled Their standing points (about their views ), is a five-minute Anime OVA Shinkai Makoto about the relationship between a cat and her owner during one year.

The story is told through a monologue of the cat from its perspective, supported by a few sets of the young woman. The cat is here spoken of Shinkai himself and the woman of his future fiancé Mika Shinohara (筱 原 美 香).

The black and white film was created mostly by Makoto Shinkai, the soundtrack is from his friend Tenmon. Kanojo to Kanojo no neko is the first project in which Makoto Shinkai directed, won several awards and made sure that the Creator gained notoriety. Originally, the short film together with soundtrack in CD form was published. This is now out of print, however, the film continues as an accompaniment to the DVD version of Shinkai 's later work, Hoshi no Koe, available. In addition to the five minutes it is also a three and a half minute version.
