The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes ( Original title: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes) was a 1984-1994 current, produced by Granada Television television series from England, where available from the broadcaster ITV, which consisted of four different parts.

Formation

Awards

Broadcasting in Germany
As the first German transmitter East German television beamed the series starting in September 1987 in his second program. For this, the 1st and 2nd season were shown in a common series titled The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes with a sequence per week. At the same time slot because season 3 was followed in January 1988 under the title The Return of Sherlock Holmes.

In England, all the episodes were released on DVD ( in Boxing Season and a complete series box). In Germany the seasons 1 and 2 were published as Complete First Season on DVD by Koch Media, the scales 3 and 5 (without the Hound of the Baskervilles ) as a complete second season, this season 5 due to lack of German dubbing was in the original English released with German subtitles on DVD discs. The seasons 6 and 9 have been published by Koch Media as 3rd and 4th season in a box - were resynchronized for publication - as well here so far there was no German -language version.
