Shigeo Shingo
Shigeo Shingo (Japanese新 郷 重 夫, * 1909, † 1990) was an engineer and one of the Japanese " quality Popes ".
He received an honorary doctorate from Utah State University. Shigeo considered as co-developers of the Toyota Production System TPS, developer of the error source inspection (English source inspection), as part of the "Toyota Production System " TPS, he developed a prevention concept (" Poka Yoke " ), Rüstzeitreduktionen ( SMED ) and setup concepts (IED and OED ). He is also the author of several books.
