Shinya Yamada
Shinya (Japanese real name山田 真 矢, Yamada Shin'ya, born January 13, 1970 in Hadano, Kanagawa, Japan) is a Japanese drummer. He became known as the drummer of the rock band Luna Sea, but he also participated in a variety of other projects. Most recently, he was in addition to his position at Luna Sea also drummer in band Gackt Yellow Fried Chickenz.
Life
Shinya was influenced early on by his parents, Noh players are professional and learned both Noh and the game on the Japanese Taiko drum. 1985 to 1988 he went to the Kanagawa Ritu Isehara high school and probably fluctuated between buying a motorcycle or a drum kit, opted for the latter. He taught himself to play at first largely self at.
His rock career start Shinya along with his later band mates Sugizo as a member of the band Pinocchio.
Luna Sea
In 1989, guitarist Inoran and bassist J formed the band Lunacy, was from shortly after Luna Sea, with Shinya on drums, Sugizo on guitar and Ryuichi as a singer. The then viewed as unconventional band with Visual Kei look had difficulty getting a record deal. Only with the help of X Japan drummer Yoshiki they made it into the music world and established itself as a successful rock band. In 1997, the band took a break, so that all members devoted their solo careers. 1998 the band returned visibly grown back and presented a more pop style than before. Up to Sugizo the band members had filed their visual look largely. In 2000, the band released their last album for the time being, which marked the beginning of the band's break up in 2007.
After it was announced after a seven year break in the day of a lunar eclipse, the band played on December 24, 2007, a sold-out concert at the Tokyo Dome in front of 55,000 visitors. They also met with X Japan Hide Memorial Summit headlining on 5 May 2008. The resumption of gang activity took the form of several concerts outside of Asia. Their world tour in 2010 brought them to Bochum, her only concert in Europe.
Solo career
Shinya played the drums for the song backline Best Js on first solo album Pyromania in 1997. During the same year, Shinya also tried on her own songs, for which he took over the vocals and the drums. His first single Rakkasuru Taiyou appeared on September 26. His recent album No Sticks in December 1997 is to be so far the only solo album.
After Luna Sea disbanded itself in 2000, was Shinya support drummer for various Kpnstlern, including Miyavi, Nanase Aikawa, Maki Oguro and Koji Kikkawa.
In 2005, he launched the Potbelly project with a young singer named Milky. The first single was released on 22 August 2005 on the market.
In 2006, he played his instrument for Fake? (a project of Luna Sea guitarist Inoran and Ken Lloyd Oblivion Dust ) for their album Songs From Beelzebub. In the same year he also supported Creature Creature live, a project of Morrie, frontman of the band Dead End.
2008 and 2009 supported Shinya, Toshi ( X Japan singer ) in its project Toshi with T- Earth.
As Toshi in response to the earthquake in Japan on March 11, 2011, a tour of Japan made, in which he renounced due to the shortage of electricity to electric instruments, leaving only play acoustic, Shinya supported him, as Heath ( X Japan ) and the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa. The proceeds were fully donated to the Japanese Red Cross. In the same year Shinya member of the band Yellow Fried Chickenz, which was initiated by Gackt.
Personal
Shinya married in May 2000, Aya Ishiguro, a former member of the girl group Morning Musume. In the same year in November, their first daughter was born Rimu, now the couple has three children.
