Shmuel Katz (politician)

Shmuel Katz ( born December 9, 1914 in South Africa; † 9 May 2008 Tel Aviv) was an Israeli politician, writer, historian and journalist.

Katz emigrated in 1936 to Palestine, where he became a member of the Irgun Tzwai Le'umi. He was co-organizer for the ride of the Altalena. Katz was February 14, 1948 to August 20, 1951 Member of the Herut in the first Knesset. He wrote a biography of Ze'ev Jabotinsky.
