Shōshinkai

The Shoshinkai (Japanese正 信 会: German "Society of correct belief " ) is a group of lay faithful and about 200 priests of Nichiren Shoshu, which was founded in July 1980. Preceded already in the 1970s, serious differences between the Soka Gakkai and the former High Priest of Nichiren Shoshu - Nittasu Hosoi. In addition to questions concerning the interpretation of the teachings of the Nichiren Shoshu - there were also disputes with respect to the newly built main hall of the Taiseki -ji, the so-called Shōhondō. In the course of these discussions have already led to the exclusion of Myōshinkō (later renamed Kenshōkai ).

Main reasons for the emergence of Shoshinkai were, firstly, the non-recognition of the then new High Priest Nikken as a successor Nittatsus, on the other hand criticized the group to their opinion, too much influence of the Soka Gakkai on the fortunes of the Nichiren Shoshu -. In the course of the exclusion of Soka Gakkai Nichiren Shoshu accounted for by the also one of its original emergence reasons.

The Shoshinkai founded a research organization whose research results came Kofu Danjo (Japanese兴 风 谈 所) in other schools of Nichiren Buddhism for recognition.
