Shu-Sin

Šu -Sin of Ur (also Shu - Suen Shu -Sin ) was from 2037 to 2029 BC (middle chronology ) King of Sumer and Akkad in Mesopotamia (now Iraq).

Life

He was the fourth ruler of the Third Dynasty of Ur and followed his brother Amar -Sin after his early death on the throne. About the time of his reign is known that threatened from the west border of the empire danger and that he himself boasted to have " devastated seven countries " in Iraq. His successor was Ibbi -Sin, the last great king of the Third Dynasty of Ur.
