Style and content
Musically, the album represents a strong style change compared with the previous work of the band. Both an increase in the recording quality as well as a rather avant-garde, experimental approach clearly distinguish this work from previous publications; also the song is very different from that of the predecessor is different. Jeffrey van de Kemp of Archaic - Magazine.com designated Si monvmentvm reqvires, circvmspice as the Black Metal album of the year 2004. Batteiger gave the album 4.25 of 5 points, called it " an impressive record" and praised the lyrics than the smartest blasphemy, he had ever read; the lyrics are so good that he wished the band would be something more interesting than devote the denunciation of Christians, which would be a waste of time.
