Sibyll-Anka Klotz

Sibyll - Anka Klotz ( born March 4, 1961 in Berlin ) is a German politician of the party Alliance 90/The Greens. Since November 2006 she has been Councillor for Health and Social Affairs in the district of Tempelhof- Schöneberg. Previously, she was between 1991 and 2006 Member of the Berlin House of Representatives.

Life

Sibyll - Anka Klotz grew up in East Berlin. She studied at the Humboldt University in Berlin philosophy and a doctorate in the subject. She currently lives with her daughter and her partner in Berlin.

Policy

Klotz was from 1983 to 1989 a member of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany ( SED). In 1990, she was involved in the founding of the Independent Women's Association ( UFV ) as the party of Turning Point in the GDR. Since 1995, Klotz member of the party is the Alliance 90/The Greens. She was from 1991 to 2006 Member of the House of Representatives of Berlin and in 2006 was Councillor.

Member of Parliament

Klotz was first elected in 1991 for the UFV in the House of Representatives, which formed a parliamentary group with Alliance 90 and the Greens. 1995 and 2001 she was the top candidate of the Alliance 90/The Greens in the Berlin state elections. In the House of Representatives Klotz was from 1993 to 1995, 1997 and until November 1999, deputy from November 1999 to October 2006 parliamentary leader of their group, from January 1998 parliamentary leader. In addition, it was the labor market and women's political spokesperson of the group.
