Sidney Morgan

Sidney Arthur Morgan ( born August 2, 1874 in Bermondsey, London, † June 11, 1946 in Boscombe ) was a British film director, screenwriter and producer.

Sidney Morgan in 1914 his directorial debut. He worked after the First World War for the Progress Film Company. In his films, usually joined his daughter Joan Morgan on as the lead actress. In 1919 he went for the company to Shoreham -by-Sea, turning in the following three years there 17 movies. Many of them were adaptations, the now rediscovered as the original movie Little Dorrit, The Mayor of Casterbridge and A Lowland Cinderella. In the 1930s and was mainly active as a producer.

One of his few appearances as an actor, he had 1930 in Alfred Hitchcock's Juno and the Paycock.
