The seven maple is 753 m above sea level. NN is the third highest mountain in the Vogelsberg in Vogelsberg, Hesse ( Germany ).

It is located in the natural park Hoher Vogelsberg in the upper forest in the district of field crutches, a district of Ulrich stone. About three kilometers south of it rises the baptismal font.

About his heavily wooded summit, the Rhine -Weser watershed runs. At the northwestern foothills of the mountain spring Gilgbach and Streitbach, headwaters of Ilsbachs, the hydrological main arm of the ohm, which drains over the river Lahn to the Rhine. Counterclockwise its outfall Nidda joins on the western slope of the grass meadow creek and on the southern slope, the flow to the Rhine via the Main.

On the eastern slope of the Seven maple is located on 720 m height of the hostage- stone, a rock breakthrough of nepheline - leucite basalt with a strong content of magnetite.
