The Sieglitz is about 4.5 km long tributary of the Wild Gera in Thuringia forest above Gräfenroda.

Course

It rises about one kilometer east of Oberhof on Glashütte place in 710 meters. Then it flows in a northeasterly direction on the Upper Sieglitzteich. A bit further down it is crossed by the Lütsche - Flößgraben that leads up from here to Oberhof and down to Franconia grove. Below the Lower Sieglitzteichs the Sieglitzgrund in which the Sieglitz is crossed by Gera tunnel begins. Part of its water flows through these tunnels northwest to Ohra dam. The remaining part follows the natural valley to the Sieglitzecke where the brook joins from the left in the Wilde Gera.
