Sierra Pelona Mountains

The Sierra Pelona Mountains are a mountain range in Los Angeles County and Kern County in Southern California. The 1937 km ² large mountain ranges from Interstate 5 in Gorman to the Antelope Valley Freeway at Vincent. The north - south distance is 57 km, from east to west 70 km. The Sierra Pelona Mountains bounded on the southwest to the northwest and from the Antelope Valley in the north and northeast by the Santa Clarita Valley, the San Emigdio Mountains to the south of the San Gabriel Mountains. The San Andreas Fault is located north of the mountains near the Elizabeth Lake.
