Sigismund Báthory
Sigismund Báthory (Hungarian Zsigmond Báthory ) (* 1572, † 1613 ) was, with one interruption, 1581-1602 Prince of Transylvania and Imperial Prince of the Holy Roman Empire.
Life
Sigismund Báthory was the nephew of Stephen Báthory and the son and successor of Christopher Báthory, Prince of Transylvania.
Even his lifetime of his father, he was elected to the Prince, but he was still quite young when his father died, the governance of a regency was entrusted. In 1588 he attained his majority and joined the Federation of Christian princes against the Turks at.
