The Signalkuppe or Punta Gnifetti is a peak in the Monte Rosa Massif in the Pennine Alps. She wears at an altitude of 4559 m s.l.m. ( 4'554 m above sea level. M. ) the highest hut in Europe, the Capanna Regina Margherita ( Osservatorio Capanna Regina Margherita ), named after the Italian Queen Margherita of Italy, who had climbed the mountain in August 1893.

Accessible from the southern huts Capanna Gnifetti 3647 m slm or something underlying Rifugio Città di Mantova 3498 m slm in about 4 or west, in Monte Rosa Hut 2,795 m above sea level. M. 6-7 hours. The first ascent of the Signalkuppe took place on 9 August in 1842 by Giovanni Gnifetti and seven companions.
