Sigurd Haakonsson

The Ladejarl Sigurd Sigurd Håkonsson or Ladejarl, arrangement. Sigurðr Hákonarson or Sigurðr Hlaðajarl, (* 895, † 962) was Jarl in Trøndelag (Norway ) and the son of Håkon Grjotgardsson.

Sigurd was killed by Harald gray fur, the son of Erik Bloodaxe, as Harald tried to combine all of Norway under his rule. Sigurd's son Håkon Sigurdsson later avenged his father's death.

Sigurd had a skald named Kormákr Ögmundarson in the wake. Fragments obtained from the ballad about the Jarl that are Sigurðardrápa, in Skáldskaparmál and the Heimskringla.
